The program has completed the comprehensive ecological survey of the area to identify coral and habitat species. They are currently working on selecting the most suitable zones to proceed while processing government permits.

Covering 6.31 hectares, the designated conservation zone reflects the project’s ambitious scope and promising potential to enhance marine biodiversity. Moreover, Manggarai Barat’s local officials have expressed strong support for the initiative and its long-term success.

“This is a commendable example of how tourism and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. We fully support this initiative and hope it will inspire other tourism stakeholders to take similar action for our precious marine ecosystems,” states the regent of Manggarai Barat.
