Bringing together Vietnam’s most influential chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers, and industry leaders, the Gourmet Vietnam Awards 2025 celebrated excellence across gastronomy and hospitality. From fine dining and world-class resorts to visionary individuals, the evening honoured creativity, craftsmanship, and the evolving spirit of Vietnam’s culinary scene.
On 12 December 2025, the Grand Ballroom of Park Hyatt Saigon transformed into a stage of recognition and refinement as the Gourmet Vietnam Awards 2025 brought together leaders of Vietnam’s culinary and hospitality community. Organised by Oriental Media Vietnam and presented by Epicure Vietnam – the country’s leading publication in gastronomy, travel, and lifestyle, the Awards marked the culmination of a six-month journey of nominations, evaluations, and expert judging.

Across 39 award categories, more than 200 outstanding nominees were honoured, each reflecting the extraordinary evolution of Vietnam’s dining and hospitality landscape. More than an awards ceremony, the Gourmet Vietnam Awards carry a clear mission: to champion creativity, inspire innovation, and elevate industry standards, positioning Vietnam firmly on the global gastronomic map.

A Tapestry of Culinary Excellence
At the heart of the evening were the restaurants that shaped the culinary narrative of 2025. Square One at Park Hyatt Saigon claimed Best Fine Dining Restaurant, while The Gate Wine Dining captured the spirit of modern conviviality as Best Casual Dining Restaurant. Mastery of technique and flavour was showcased by Prime Steak Boutique & Chill, honoured as Best Steakhouse Restaurant.

Vietnamese heritage took centre stage with Bờm Kitchen & Wine Bar winning Best Vietnamese Restaurant, while the finesse of Asian gastronomy was exemplified by Long Triều – The Reverie Saigon and Yazawa Saigon, crowned Best Chinese and Best Japanese Restaurant respectively.
Regional flavours were equally celebrated. Hidden Thaiger, Rang, and The Straits Kitchen & Bar – Sedona Suites Ho Chi Minh City were recognised for Thai, Indian, and Singaporean cuisine, while European excellence shone through with honours awarded to Truffle Saigon, Basilico – JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon, Iberico Vinos y Tapas, and Casinha, representing French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese traditions. Culinary artistry reached its peak with Fume | Japanese Modern Cuisine, named Best Omakase Restaurant 2025.
Beyond the Plate
Innovation extended beyond the kitchen. Vietnam’s vibrant beverage scene was spotlighted with Song Bar – Hilton Saigon named Best Bar of the Year, Mad Wine Bar & Eatery recognised as Best Wine Bar, and Social Club – Hôtel des Arts Saigon, MGallery winning Best Rooftop Bar.

In dining within hotels and resorts, The Albion by Kirk Westaway – Hôtel des Arts Saigon, MGallery earned Best Hotel Dining, while Regent Phu Quoc emerged as Best Resort Dining, later adding accolades as Best Beach Resort of the Year. Best Luxury Hotel of the Year 2025 was awarded to Park Hyatt Saigon, while Bhaya Soul was honoured as Best Cruise Ship of the Year 2025. Nature-led luxury was honoured through Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, winner of Best Nature Resort, while boutique and integrated excellence shone through Mia Saigon, Azerai Ke Ga Bay, and Alma Resort Cam Ranh.
Design, Wellness, and Responsible Luxury
Design and ambience proved essential to the guest experience. El Toro – Home For Steaks & Wines, The Reverie Saigon, and JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay were distinguished for Restaurant, Hotel, and Resort Design & Ambience respectively. Wellness took centre stage with Fusion Resort & Villas Danang named Best Spa & Wellness Resort, Danang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa recognised as Best Family-Friendly Resort, and Namia River Retreat honoured as Best Sustainable Resort. Bremiere Wellness Center – Sofitel Saigon Plaza was awarded Best Spa of the Year 2025.
Honouring the People Behind the Excellence
The Awards also celebrated the individuals driving Vietnam’s hospitality forward. Mr. Mario Mendis, General Manager of Fusion Resort & Villas Danang, was named Hospitality Personality of the Year 2025, recognising his visionary leadership and commitment to guest experience. Mr. Mario Caballero of Meliá Vinpearl Phu Quoc received the Hotel General Manager of the Year, a testament to operational excellence.
Culinary talent shone brightly with Chef Oliver Mette of Hotel de la Coupole Sa Pa – MGallery Collection crowned Chef of the Year 2025, while Chef Benjamin Werge Jensen, Executive Chef of Topas Ecolodge, was honoured as Rising Star Chef. The artistry of desserts was recognised with Chef Robin Mouquet as Pastry Chef of the Year, and wine mastery was celebrated through Ms. Phan Thi Binh Minh, Sommelier at Ănăn Saigon, awarded Sommelier of the Year 2025.

A Night to Remember
More than a presentation of awards, the Gala Dinner was a culmination of artistry, storytelling, and shared passion. From the red carpet reception to the curated dining experience, each moment reflected the dedication and emotion behind the industry’s finest achievements.
The Gourmet Vietnam Awards 2025 did more than honour winners, it captured the spirit of a nation whose gastronomy and hospitality continue to evolve, inspire, and resonate far beyond its borders.
