This year marks the World Gourmet Summit’s 21st run as Asia’s premier food and wine epicurean fiesta, with prestigious master chefs from over 16 countries coming together for its United Nations Gastronomic Assembly (UNGA).

Eminent international chefs include Jarno Eggen (of two Michelin-star De Groene Lantaarn, Netherlands), four-time World Barbecue champion Ueli ‘Grill’ Bernold (Switzerland), pastry sensation Kiriko Nakamura (one Michelin-star chef at Tripse, Japan), Sri Lankan Dharshan Munidasa (ranked #29 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant list), Mexico’s Daniel Ovadίa, and Canadian First Nations Chef Representative, Quentin Glabus.

7 April
Krug Stars Dinner with Julien Royer
Odette, 7-11pm
Chef Royer pairs Champagne with his menu of ‘timeless’ creations that includes 55° Smoked Organic Egg accompanied with a glass of Clarendelle Blanc by Haut Brion. $388/person.

The Foundation of Japanese Whisky – 12 years of barrel aging series
OSO Ristorante, 7-11pm
Dive deep into the world of Japanese whiskies with OSO Ristorante’s six-course pairing menu. Highlights include the Yamazaki 12 Single Malt Whisky paired with baked aged plum wrapped in bacon. $168/person.

8 April
World Whisky Tour (2)
OSO Ristorante, 7-11pm
This 10-course dinner features drams from 10 different countries including the Eagle Rare 10-year-old Bourbon from USA, Starward Malt Whisky from Australia and a 25-year-old Blue Label from Scotland.  $288/person.

Taland Tamarind: A Thai Night Market
Tamarind Hill Singapore, 8-11pm
Celebrity Iron Chef Thaninthorn ‘Noom’ Chantrawan will be presenting more than 25 authentic spicy Thai creations from across the country at Tamarind Hill amid a quasi Thai night market ambience with outdoor grills and street food stalls. Expect classics such as Som Tam (green papaya salad), Tom Yum Goong (creamy red tom yum with prawns) and Hoi Malaeng Puu Tort (Thai-style mussel omelette). $80/person with free-flow beer.

A Special Evening of Soulful Sufi Songs & Kebabs
Punjab Grill, 6.30-10.30pm
Savour a scrumptious 10-course Royal Chef tasting menu at Punjab Grill where executive chef Javed Ahmed cooks up a delectable selection of signature kebabs from India’s richly diverse northwest frontier province. Sufi singer Zubair Ilyas completes the experience with soulful works by famous Sufi poets including Bulleh Shah, Rumi and Amir Khusrow. From $180/person.

Perched atop the Labrador Nature Reserve in a colonial bungalow amid lush surroundings, Tamarind Hill is the place to be to sample the finest offerings of this extravagant brunch party put forth by WGS’ partners.

Urban Farming & Sustainability: A Farm-Fresh Cocktail & Culinary Experience
Open Farm Community, 7-11pm
A sublime four-course cocktail pairing dinner featuring freshly foraged ingredients straight from local soil, jointly presented by head chef Russell Misso and group bar manager Joe Schofield. $88/person for dinner only or $128 with cocktail pairing.

Salted & Hung X Stockade
Salted & Hung, 7-11pm
Enjoy a signature beer pairing dinner by executive chef Drew Nocente where he serves up new meat and seafood creations paired with craft beers from New South Wales-based brewery, the Stockade Brewing Co. $108/person.

13 April
Gin & Fermentation
Morsels, 6-11pm
Spirit lovers take heed. Check out this exclusive experiential dinner where Morsels’ chef Petrina Loh ties up with Paper Lantern Distillery, Proof & Co and Gain Brands Premium Gins to showcase artisanal gins and their unique flavours alongside her gourmet creations. $148/person for the first seating at 6pm to 8pm, and $168/person for the second seating from 8:30pm.

14 April
Going Gluten Free
Open Door Policy, 7-11pm
Make gluten-free bread with executive chef Ryan Clift and bust the myths of gluten-free living as you end the evening with a special four-course dinner in the same vein. $70/person for dinner only, add $10 for a glass of organic wine.

A Night of Rare 18 year old Japanese Whiskies (2)
OSO Ristorante, 7-11pm
A six-course dinner featuring rare 18-year vintages such as Hakushu 18, Fuji Sanroku 18 Oloroso Sherry Cask and Macallan 18. $228/person.

15 April
A Night of Liquid Gold (2) – 18-40 Years of Finest Japanese Whisky
OSO Ristorante, 7-11pm
The star of this seven-course whisky pairing dinner is the 25-year-old Yamazaki whisky served with one-year aged toma cheese with barley and whisky. $880/person.

Monegeard – Mugneret Vertical & Horizontal Tasting
La Terre, 6.30pm
This one is for wine connoisseurs. A showcase of exceptional 1er cru vintages and the Echezeaux Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes 1995. $180/person.
