The ultimate pop-up
Sure, it might seem there’s been one pop-up event too many this past year but how many are able to unite over 30 vendors at once?
This year’s 9MCM is putting together a jubilee marketplace for partners to unveil corresponding food or retail creations that pertain to Singapore’s grand 50th birthday. The creations will reflect on local culture and heritage, such as Nuevo Vino kopi and teh cocktails, spiked with Yzaguirre vermouths and topped with savoury egg foams. As a nod to the humble kopitiam breakfast, the drinks are further topped with crisp sticks of you tiao. Other vendors to look out for include Project Acai, a dedicated acai superfood café, and Scene Shang, whose range of cushion covers displays iconic landmarks such as the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station and Cathay Building.
