Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach is bringing Bali’s strawberry harvest to the shoreline with the debut of its Seaside Stroberi Festival, a two-day event taking place on 5 and 6 September 2026. Held from 4pm onwards along the resort’s beachfront, the festival connects the cool highlands of Bedugul with the lively atmosphere of Seminyak through food, wellness, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
The concept is simple but distinctive. Rather than celebrating strawberries in their place of origin, Hotel Indigo Bali transports the season’s freshest harvests from Bedugul to the coast, creating a seaside festival that highlights local produce while encouraging visitors to experience Bali from a different perspective. It reflects the brand’s neighbourhood-inspired philosophy, where local stories and communities shape the guest experience.
Throughout the weekend, the beachfront transforms into an open-air festival ground filled with strawberry-inspired food stalls, refreshing beverages, live entertainment, and wellness experiences. Visitors can sample creative dishes that showcase the fruit in both sweet and savoury forms, while pop-up treatments by Sava Spa and sunset strawberry yoga sessions add a more restorative dimension to the programme. Both in-house guests and walk-in visitors are welcome to join the activities, making the festival accessible to the wider Seminyak community.
The opening day also features one of the event’s most ambitious highlights: the creation of what is expected to become Bali’s longest strawberry shortcake. Alongside the centrepiece are strawberry-eating competitions, giving both adults and children the chance to join in the festivities. Younger guests are equally catered for through strawberry-themed treasure hunts and cupcake decorating sessions, reinforcing the festival’s family-friendly appeal.
According to General Manager Andreas Bergel, the festival was created to celebrate more than just seasonal produce.
