Pocha Bar Andaz Bali

Pocha Bar Brings Seoul’s After-Hours Dining Culture to Andaz Bali

Andaz Bali, by Hyatt has introduced Pocha Bar, a new dining concept at Fire Fox in Village Square that brings the easy, late-night energy of Korean street-side dining to Sanur. Inspired by pojangmacha, or pocha, the casual eateries found across South Korea, the concept is built around the familiar ritual of gathering after work, sharing food, and letting the evening stretch over drinks.

The idea suits Fire Fox’s setting well. Rather than turning Korean dining into a formal occasion, Pocha Bar at Andaz Bali keeps the tone relaxed and social. It is made for small groups, casual catch-ups, and in-house guests looking for something richer and livelier after sunset. The room becomes less about a conventional dinner and more about a table to return to: order a few dishes, pour another drink, and keep the conversation moving.

At the centre of the experience is Somaek, the much-loved Korean mix of soju and beer. The name comes from so, referring to soju, and maekju, meaning beer in Korean. Light, refreshing, and easy to drink, Somaek has become closely tied to Korea’s after-work culture, where the drink often acts as the first sign that the day has properly shifted into night.

Food follows the same sharing-led direction. Highlights include the Foxy Bossam Set for 2, featuring braised pork belly served with fresh oysters, radish kimchi, lettuce, and ssamjang. Guests can wrap each bite the traditional Korean way, creating a dish that feels generous without losing its structure. Another key plate is the Galbi Smashed Burger, a playful take on Korean flavours with marinated minced beef and cheddar cheese.

Pocha Bar also extends Andaz Bali’s wider Korean dining story, sitting naturally alongside Hansik Korean BBQ while offering a looser, more after-hours mood. Open daily from 5pm to 11pm, it gives Sanur a new way to experience Korean comfort food – less polished banquet, more Seoul side street, translated with Andaz Bali’s relaxed village rhythm.
