Known for perfectly blending Japanese precision with global creativity, Miss Fish Bali offers a distinctive dining and nightlife experience on the island. This June, the Japanese restaurant announces the return of its signature festival event, inviting Japanese cuisine and culture enthusiasts in Bali. Running over three nights from 11 to 13 June 2026, the immersive MATSURI Festival transforms the entire space into a cinematic, shrine-like universe inspired by Shinto mythology, sacred rituals, and fantasy worlds.

Guests will step into a dreamlike setting adorned with dramatic décor, bonsai-inspired installations, pagoda elements, and koi fish gracefully suspended above the ceiling. “Every year, MATSURI becomes our most anticipated celebration,” said Winda Puspita, marketing manager of Miss Fish Bali. “This edition is designed to feel transportive – a world where Japanese tradition meets fantasy, where guests can dine, celebrate, and experience Miss Fish at its most theatrical.”
Establishing itself as an annual Japanese festival in Bali, the event places a multi-course tasting menu at the heart of its evening schedule. This refined culinary narrative opens with a Tuna Roll featuring smoked tuna tartare, a crispy seaweed cylinder, and bright yuzu gelée, followed by a Hamachi Tiradito pairing Japanese amberjack with strawberry vinaigrette and salsa jengibre. Next, a warm Kuruma Ebi showcases butter-poached Japanese king prawn with cocktail sauce, lime foam, and herb oil.

For the sushi selection, diners can savour Kaisho Maki, Nigiri, and Otoro Temaki, highlighting the finest fish of the day, seaweed, pickled radish, premium Japanese bluefin tuna belly, and negi. A refreshing Pickled Consommé serves as a palate cleanser before the main course arrives: a Prime Tomahawk accompanied by burnt cauliflower purée, chimichurri, and gobo chips. The experience concludes with Pineapple and Port, featuring caramelised pineapple and port wine ice cream, followed by Butter & Umami, a decadent dessert of croissant gelato, salted butterscotch, soy reduction, almond crumble, and raspberry.

MATSURI Festival invites guests to witness powerful live Taiko drumming performances and a high-energy evening atmosphere that evolves into a vibrant late-night celebration. This Japanese festival offers an unforgettable sensory journey where ancient folklore meets modern nightlife, a must-visit when in Bali.
