Since opening one year ago, SugarSand in Seminyak, Bali has quickly carved a reputation for cool tunes, beautiful artworks and tasty nosh and libations. The two-level beachside bar and restaurant is a mélange of colours and textures, creating a vibrant and playful space, whether it’s the poolside daybeds downstairs or the open-air roof lounge upstairs. Original murals done by local talents decorate the walls as the cosy furnishing invites people to lounge and relax.
While the quirky bar and restaurant is known for hosting memorable dinners, guests also can make their way there on Sunday afternoons.From 28 July, you can enjoy a leisurely brunch by the pool. The sun is out in full force so don’t to don chic sunnies as you savour tasty Japanese à la carte dishes and free-flow cocktails from 12pm to 4pm. Snack on tasty morsels such as Pork Gyoza and Soft Shelled Crab, which will be prepared a la minute.
For heartier options, order the Spicy Tuna sushi rolls, Beef Meatball Sando or a wok bowl of hearty Chifa Fried Rice. There are also plenty of vegetarian options, such as Tofu Aburage with avocado, yellow pepper dressing and spicy tempeh crumbs; and Fried Quinoa.
Quench your thirst with Lychee Julep and Espresso Martini in between taking cooling dips at the pool. As you bask under the sun, a solid lineup of Bali’s best DJs will ensure you are having a good time.
