Come hungry for Shangri-La Hotel Singapore’s inaugural food festival: GastroFest

A full lineup from its own F&B outlets aside, Shangri-La Hotel has also invited restaurants such as Coconut Club and Meat Smith to set up pop-up stands at the pool area.

GastroFest’s wide array of gastronomic delights

Shangri-La Hotel Singapore will be holding their first ever GastroFest on 5 May. From 12.30pm to 5pm, festival goers can look forward to Southern Italian fare from Waterfall Ristorante Italiano and an array of international cuisines gracing the buffet at The Line. Besides that, restaurants such as Coconut Club, Meat Smith and TONO Cevicheria will be among a lineup of booths that will be set up around the pool area of the hotel.

It’s not just a feast for the palate. You can immerse yourself in the activities taking place on the festival grounds. Visit the Gin Garden to concoct cocktails using gins from East Imperial and Drinks Fellas and add some fresh aromatics to garnish your tipples. At the Art Jamming Lawn, all guests are welcome to participate in a collaborative art piece; all-natural mineral chalk paint will be provided for guests, and the pieces will be set aside by the hotel for future display. Soak up the full festival vibe with Latin American music from Havana Social Club, DJ Justo and roving entertainers, such as stilt walkers and percussion groups.

Tickets for GastroFest are priced at $298 with free-flow alcohol, $228 without and $68 for children aged six to 11.
