OKU at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta turns 10 this April, marking a decade since it opened in 2016 with a limited-time anniversary programme built around its signature sense of restraint and depth. Named after the Japanese concept oku – something abstract, layered, and not immediately accessible – the restaurant has long positioned itself as a calm counterpoint to the city’s pace.

To celebrate the OKU Jakarta 10th anniversary milestone, the team has created OKUKASE, a 10-course menu designed to highlight Japanese technique and seasonal clarity. The sequence begins with Negitoro Pavé, followed by Shiromi Carpaccio finished with ponzu foam. From there it moves into richer notes, including Smoke Gyu Zabuton with shishito and Chizu Tori Katsu, before a sashimi trio of chutoro, amaebi, and Kyushu soy sets up Tarabagani Teppou Jiru, a crab-based soup that reads warm and grounded.
A curated Sushi Gallery follows, with bites such as Hotate Yuzu, Kinmedai Shoga Joyu, and Otoro Caviar with kizami wasabi. A lime kiwi sorbet resets the palate before guests choose between the restaurant’s Signature Chirashi Chazuke or Wagyu Truffle Foie Gras Don, a heavier finish built around fat, aroma, and clean seasoning. The final note is Green Tea Sakura, a dessert that keeps the closing gesture light.

The bar mirrors the OKU Jakarta 10th anniversary menu’s layered thinking through the Mastermind Series, a lineup of 10 cocktails built around Japanese spirits such as sake, shochu, and umeshu. Each drink is designed to unfold in stages rather than hit in one note, matching the restaurant’s broader idea of gradual discovery.
OKUKASE runs 13 April to 12 May 2026, offering a concise snapshot of what OKU has built over the past decade: quiet pacing, strong ingredients, and a focus on detail.
