With Valentine’s Day only a week away, spending an evening with champagne and strawberries in a private flight capsule, and sampling a menu in the arrangement of a timeless Shakespearean play are just some inspired ways for a memorable celebration.

Pamplemousse Bistro
Inspired by Romeo and Juliet, chef owner Adrian Ling’s six-course set menu is a thematic allusion to the epic love story. With modern twists on classic Veronese dishes, his creations are served as different acts in a play and include a foie gras terrine, slow cooked milk fed veal, risotto with braised Kurobuta pork cheeks, roasted French quail, and a floating island meringue.

SANTI
Catalan celebrity chef Santi Santamaria will be personally present to launch the restaurant’s first 11-course Valentine’s Day menu which includes Warm Lobster Salad with Oscietra Caviar and Burrata; Iberic Pork Rack with roasted quince and petit pois; Market Fish Potato and Leek Stew with black truffles; and Lychee and Rose Sorbet. The fine dining restaurant’s main area conveys the rustic atmosphere of Sant Celoni, Catalonia, through brick walls and oak floor tiles while the bar lures guests with its plush furnishings and intimate atmosphere.

Novus
This modern European restaurant has created an exclusive menu as a reflection of love’s multi-faceted dimensions. It starts on a sweet note with Canadian Scallops and Beets; progresses to encompass sour components with a sous-vide Norwegian salmon with sake jelly and citrus elements; demonstrates bitter moments with the Pork Trio and chicoree-poppy seed jus before it hits a sensuous high with chocolate and chilli textures. The dinner also includes a Veuve Clicquot champagne and elderflower aperitif, and a takeaway heart-shaped chocolate cake.

Singapore Flyer
Love is, quite literally, in the air when the Singapore Flyer experience includes a bird’s eye view of the cityscape. The Valentine’s Day Cupid Flight includes express boarding on the capsule, a glass of Moet and Chandon champagne cocktail or Cupid’s Potion Cocktail, a platter of strawberries and chocolates, a rose for the lady and access to the VIP lounge after.

Kinki
Aphrodisiac is the buzzword when it comes to chef Wing Lam’s six-course menu. It features Asian and Western amative ingredients with dishes like Foie Gras with Black Truffle and Crispy Unagi; blue fin tina and kajiki carpaccio with asparagus, spiced ginger soup with sweet corn and snow crab; vanilla scented Hokkaido milk poached cod; and a dark chocolate marshmallow fondue for two.

Pontini
For couples seeking a touch of Italian flair, Pontini’s five-course San Valentino Set Menu is stamped with head chef Domenico Piras’ native cuisine. The Sardinian specials include a Fregola soup with zucchini and homemade pistachio pesto, Malloreddus (semolina pasta) with pork sausage stew, cherry tomatoes, wild fennel and Pecorino cheese, and a classic Sassarese: fried citrus Ricotta cheese and mint ravioli served with honeycomb and candied fruit ice cream.

Senso Ristorante & Bar
At the newly refurbished Senso, dining takes place amid an updated décor of minimalist, contemporary furnishings. The restaurant will offer enticing specials like Pan-seared Scallops with Grilled Scampi and Caviar; Homemade Ravioli stuffed with Ricotta; and Roasted Veal Rack with caramelised figs and red wine foie gras sauce in a five-course dinner. A special Prosecco brunch ($88) with European oysters and chocolate fondue is also available on the 13th at the signature courtyard.
