Opened in August 2016, Wynn Palace is the second luxury integrated resort from Wynn Resorts in Macao, following Wynn Macau. Today, it is home to approximately 109,000 square feet of luxury retail, 12 food and beverage outlets, a food hall, Macao’s largest spa, a pool and approximately 43,500sqm of casino space. Its entertainment offering includes the eight-acre Performance Lake, the SkyCab, immersive experiences at Illuminarium and elaborate floral sculptures.
The resort’s sense of arrival is part of the experience. The SkyCab, located beside Performance Lake and connected to the Macao Light Rapid Transit station, takes guests around the lake from as high as 28 metres above ground. The six-person gondolas offer elevated views of the Cotai skyline and the lake, passing two monumental golden dragons along the way.
Then there is the Performance Lake itself, where water, music and light create one of the resort’s defining spectacles. Wynn Palace positions dining as a multisensory experience in which gastronomy, art and entertainment intersect. Its signature restaurants span Cantonese, Japanese, Jiangnan and American steakhouse traditions, while the resort’s more casual venues extend the culinary journey across regional Chinese, Italian and international cuisines.
At the top of the culinary hierarchy is Chef Tam’s Seasons, where renowned Cantonese chef Tam Kwok Fung takes inspiration from the 24 solar terms of traditional Chinese wisdom. The restaurant holds two MICHELIN stars and two diamonds from the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, while in 2026 it was ranked No. 7 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants and named Best Restaurant in Macau. Its cuisine combines global ingredients with contemporary techniques while maintaining a philosophy centred on seasonality.
The experience goes beyond the food, with tea pairing, fine wines, spirits and a collection of Chinese baijiu contributing to a meal that is deeply rooted in Chinese culinary culture.
For Japanese cuisine, Mizumi takes a more theatrical approach. The one-MICHELIN-starred restaurant, led by Executive Chef Hironori Maeda, serves contemporary Japanese cuisine spanning sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki, tempura and charcoal-grilled dishes.
Lakeview Palace, meanwhile, explores the cuisines of Jiangnan, with Jiangsu and Zhejiang traditions forming the foundation and elements from Sichuan and Guangdong adding further dimension. At SW Steakhouse, dinner becomes theatre. The restaurant combines premium beef from the United States, Australia and Japan with an extensive selection of seafood, before adding a theatrical visual sequence as the room darkens and an aperture opens to reveal a one-of-a-kind animation.
A culinary journey across Asia
Perhaps nowhere is Wynn Palace’s pan-Asian outlook more apparent than at Gourmet Pavilion, an expansive culinary destination inspired by the energy of Asia’s street-food culture. Here, the concept is deliberately broad: guests can move through a collection of flavours without leaving Macao, from MICHELIN-recommended fish congee and Singaporean laksa to Japanese eel rice and Taiwanese beef noodles.
The setting is equally ambitious. Designed by David Collins Studio, Gourmet Pavilion combines European architectural references with craftsmanship from around the world. Ornate mosaic arches are handcrafted by Italian artisans, while a feature chandelier is created by Bohemian glassmakers. The result is part food hall, part theatrical dining room and part visual spectacle.
It was an especially fitting venue during Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026, when Gourmet Pavilion hosted the Bartenders’ Feast on 27 July. Wing Lei Bar was joined by Shanghai’s Pony Up and Goa’s Boilermaker for an evening of cocktails, live music and interactive experiences ahead of the awards ceremony.
Where Asia’s cocktail community came to gather
The connection between Wynn Palace and the region’s drinks culture became particularly visible in July 2026. For the second consecutive year, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace served as Official Host Partner for Asia’s 50 Best Bars, with the 2026 awards ceremony held at Wynn Palace’s Grand Theater on 28 July. More than 1,000 guests attended the red-carpet welcome and cocktail reception before the annual ranking was revealed.
The event was more than a single awards night. From 24 to 29 July, Wynn presented six days of gatherings, bar takeovers, collaborative dinners and late-night celebrations, effectively turning the resort into a meeting point for the region’s cocktail community. More than 50 bartenders and chefs from Asia, Europe and North America participated through an expanded edition of Wing Lei Bar & Friends.
At the centre of that programme was Wing Lei Bar, the resort’s sophisticated cocktail destination. Its drinks programme incorporates repurposed culinary ingredients alongside a bespoke cocktail menu, while its back bar encompasses fine gin, rare Japanese whiskies, wines and Champagnes.
The 2026 celebrations also saw the launch of UNITY 2.0, the second chapter of Wing Lei Bar’s signature cocktail menu, alongside guest shifts and takeovers including the Bartenders’ Bartender Takeover and the all-female Behind Her Bar showcase.
What makes the partnership particularly significant is the way Wynn Palace uses such occasions to position hospitality as cultural exchange. The resort’s chefs collaborated with international names including Tokyo’s NARISAWA, Sri Lanka’s Smoke & Bitters and Mumbai’s Masque, demonstrating that the dialogue surrounding contemporary gastronomy and cocktails can extend well beyond the bar itself.
