Less than a year after helping fund the construction of a new school in Southwest Sumba, Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort is preparing for the next chapter of its community partnership with Bali Life Foundation. On 11 December 2026, the resort will host its 2nd Annual Charity Gala Dinner, themed An Evening of Purpose & Possibility, bringing together Bali’s hospitality industry, business leaders, philanthropists, media, and government representatives for an evening where fundraising takes centre stage.

The event follows the success of the inaugural gala held in 2025, which raised IDR 500 million for Bali Life Foundation. Those funds directly contributed to the construction of a new school in Southwest Sumba, officially inaugurated in July 2026. What began as a single fundraising evening has since become a permanent learning space for children in the region, giving this year’s event a clear sense of continuity rather than simply repeating a successful formula.
Taking place at the resort’s Kecak Ballroom from 6pm to 10pm, the evening combines a four-course dinner, free-flow wines, live entertainment, and a charity auction featuring luxury hotel stays, curated experiences, and exclusive items. Beyond the hospitality programme, however, the purpose remains unchanged: to bring people together around initiatives that create long-term opportunities for children, women, and families supported by Bali Life Foundation.
“Last year’s Sofitel Bali Charity Gala showed us what can happen when people come together with a shared purpose,” said Jean-Pierre Joncas, general manager of Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort. “We saw that generosity turn into something tangible – a school that will serve children and the community for years to come. That experience inspired us to continue the journey.”

In keeping with that commitment, 100 percent of ticket proceeds, together with sponsorships, donations, and auction contributions, will go directly to Bali Life Foundation’s ongoing programmes. The resort is also inviting businesses and brands to participate through sponsorship opportunities, reinforcing the idea that hospitality can extend beyond guest experiences to create broader social impact.
For Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort, the gala has become more than an annual charity dinner. It reflects a longer-term partnership built around education, empowerment, and community development. While guests can expect an elegant evening of fine dining and entertainment, the significance of the event lies in what happens afterwards: helping transform generosity into lasting opportunities for communities that need them most.
