Jack’s Club Debuts at The St. Regis Bali Resort with Live Jazz and Guest Mixologists

There are few hotel brands as intrinsically tied to the art of evening ritual as St. Regis. Since the doors of the original St. Regis New York first opened in 1904, the brand has cultivated a legacy of sophisticated gatherings, impeccable cocktails and elegant social occasions. This season, that heritage finds a new home in Bali as The St. Regis Bali Resort introduces Jack’s Club – the first Jack’s Club concept to debut within a resort setting, transforming The St. Regis Bar into a refined destination for jazz, world-class mixology and elevated gastronomy from July through September. The launch marks a new chapter for the iconic St. Regis experience while paying tribute to founder John “Jack” Jacob Astor IV and the timeless glamour of early 20th-century New York.

Inspired by the city’s legendary jazz clubs and cabaret culture, Jack’s Club reimagines the convivial spirit that has long defined St. Regis evenings. Here in Nusa Dua, that tradition is interpreted through a distinctly Balinese lens, where refined hospitality meets the island’s relaxed sophistication. Rather than a one-off event, the seasonal activation unfolds as a curated programme of live music, cocktail artistry and culinary collaborations designed to encourage lingering conversations long after sunset.

The programme opened with two standout collaborations celebrating the craft of mixology and fine dining. On 9 and 10 July, acclaimed bartender Jakkrit “Golf” Promchaisit, head mixologist of Bangkok’s celebrated Bar Sathorn – ranked No. 48 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars – joined Marco Dongi for two evenings of exceptional guest cocktails at The St. Regis Bar. The following evenings, 10 and 11 July, Michelin-acclaimed chef Andrea Cofini, formerly of the two-Michelin-starred L’Atelier Robuchon, presented an exclusive dining experience at Kayuputi, pairing his contemporary culinary philosophy with the restaurant’s acclaimed Pan-Asian cuisine.

Music forms the heartbeat of the experience. Throughout the season, Jack’s Club presents a carefully curated live performance programme inspired by New York’s golden jazz era. Tuesdays through Thursdays embrace the easy rhythms of bossa nova, while weekends shift into a more vibrant tempo as South African vocalist Whitney Pharoe, accompanied by a five-piece live band, takes centre stage. Having performed internationally across Dubai and Spain, her repertoire spans jazz standards, soulful ballads and contemporary favourites, creating evenings that feel both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.

Naturally, cocktails remain central to the Jack’s Club story. Crafted exclusively for the season by Giri Asta, head bartender of The St. Regis Bar, the limited-edition collection draws inspiration from the glamour of the Jazz Age while embracing tropical Balinese influences. Guests can further elevate the experience with refined Dom Pérignon pairings, underscoring the meticulous craftsmanship that has become synonymous with the St. Regis name.

“Jack’s Club is a celebration of everything that has defined St. Regis for more than a century – remarkable gatherings, exceptional craftsmanship and unforgettable evenings,” says Héctor Busto, general manager of The St. Regis Bali Resort. His sentiment encapsulates the ambition behind the concept: to unite distinguished culinary talent, world-class music and elevated mixology in a way that honours the brand’s storied heritage while embracing Bali’s unmistakable spirit.

More than a seasonal programme, Jack’s Club offers an invitation to rediscover the pleasure of slowing down. In an era when hospitality increasingly prioritises immersive experiences over fleeting moments, The St. Regis Bali Resort once again demonstrates that some traditions never lose their allure. With live jazz filling the room, impeccably crafted cocktails in hand and exceptional cuisine completing the picture, Jack’s Club promises to become one of Bali’s most compelling evening destinations this season.
