The Westin Jakarta has introduced Tea & Toki Afternoon Tea by Henshin, a Nikkei-inspired set that blends Japanese finesse with Peruvian flavour cues. Named after the Japanese word toki (時), meaning moment, the concept is built around slowing down, with a menu curated by Executive Pastry Chef Enggie Anggakusumah and Chef Akira Oshita of Henshin.

The afternoon tea is structured in three chapters. It opens with Wabi (侘寂), described as “the moment of simplicity”, starting on savoury bites designed to set the tone. The lineup includes Tuna Nikkei Tartlet, Huacatay Aioli Yuzu Ceviche Gunkan, Miso Anticucho Skewer, and Aji Amarillo Tamago Sando – small formats that bring together citrus, umami, and gentle heat.
Next comes Asobi-gokoro (遊び心), or “the art of playfulness”, where the pastry selection leans lighter and more expressive. Expect Shiso & Quinoa Scones, Yuzu Castella, Maracuya Chirimoya Cheesecake, Sesame Éclair Black, and Matcha Panna Cotta, moving between floral notes, roasted sesame, and clean citrus.

The final chapter, Wa (和), focuses on balance and comfort. It ends with Matcha Ogura Moist Cake and a selection of Nikkei pralines, including Sweet Potato Dulce de Leche, Yuzu Green Tea, Wasabi Milk Chocolate, and Whisky Dark Chocolate. The pairing list includes Japanese teas such as sencha, genmaicha, and emperor sencha, with an optional sake add-on featuring Hakutsuru Sayuri Nigori.
Tea & Toki is served daily from 12pm to 5pm at Daily Treats and Champagne Lounge on the hotel’s 52nd floor Sky Lobby, making it a midday pause of Nikkei afternoon tea Jakarta with skyline views and a menu built around contrast, pacing, and detail.
