Mauna: Art of Silence Retreat invites guests to pause, breathe, and reconnect with their inner selves through a deeply restorative journey of mindfulness and renewal

Inspired by Nyepi, Bali’s sacred Day of Silence, Mauna embodies the art of conscious stillness – a holistic wellness experience designed to harmonise body, mind, and spirit. Rooted in the Sanskrit word Mauna, meaning silence, this retreat transcends the absence of sound, guiding guests to quiet both external distractions and internal dialogue while rediscovering presence and peace.

The Mauna experience unfolds through immersive practices that nurture every dimension of wellbeing

The experience unfolds through immersive practices that nurture every dimension of wellbeing. Guests begin with guided meditation and breathwork to cultivate awareness and emotional clarity, followed by mindful movement sessions such as yoga and Balinese sacred dance – each designed to align breath, rhythm, and intention. Mealtimes become rituals of gratitude through plant-forward cuisine and traditional jamu tonics that nourish both body and soul.

The journey culminates in Profound Renewal, a phase devoted to rest and restoration. Guests can attend a Sleep Optimisation Seminar to realign their circadian rhythm, then drift into deep calm through Sleep Meditation & Sound Healing Rituals, easing the body into a Theta state of relaxation. Complementing these are Restorative Spa Treatments and the signature Wellness Bed Ritual, an intimate in-room experience complete with soothing Hening sleepy tea, a warm lavender bath, and herbal amenities that gently cradle the body into serenity.

The retreat concludes with a Balinese Purification Ceremony at Geger Beach – a Balinese traditional melukat ritual that symbolically washes away negativity. As the ocean waves meet the shore, the cleansing waters mark a fresh beginning: serene, purposeful, and profoundly rejuvenating.
