This year, Marina Mandarin Singapore is primed to usher in a season of great abundance. From 11 January to 19 February, the five-star hotel’s restaurants will offer a diverse selection of festive goodies to kick-start the Chinese New Year celebrations.

With three live stations dishing out a la minute delicacies, diners will be feasting to their heart’s content at buffet restaurant AquaMarine, Enjoy an auspicious spread that includes Imperial Seafood Pot, indulgent Braised Dong Po Black Angus Beef Rib with pillowy lotus bun and Black Gold Charcoal Swimmer Crab Fritter with a rich salted egg dip. Available only on the eve of Chinese New Year, diners can tuck into decadent creations like the Australian Whole Abalone on Braised Radish and Conpoy and Lobster with Pumpkin Nage, served with crispy puffed rice. Chinese New Year Eve $128++/adult, $64++/child; Chinese New Year Day 1 and 2’s lunch $68++/adult, $34++/child; Chinese New Year Day 1 and 2’s dinner $88++/adult, $44++/child; Other days from $60++/adult, $30++/child. For a more luxurious setting, book a table at the hotel’s award-winning Chinese restaurant Peach Blossoms. Guests can choose from a variety of set menus (from $158++/person). Opt for their seven-course Contentment Set ($938++ for six persons), which includes the indulgent Double-boiled Kurobuta Ribs soup, teeming with baby abalone, dried oyster and radish, as well as the fragrant Smoked Chicken. Tel: 6845 1118

For those who prefer to dine at home, Marina Mandarin Singapore’s range of festive takeaways is an ideal choice. Among the selections: the new (and adorable) Golden Pig-shaped Nian Gao ($38.80+/piece) and the Prosperity Yu Sheng ($78+ for five, $118+ for 10), which features salmon, crispy whitebait and sweet Nashi pear. Other delights include the popular Taro and Radish Cake with Preserved Meat Nian Gao ($32.80+/piece) and the Spicy Prawn Roll ($32.80+/jar).
