Think social masterclasses, wine pairing dinners and more.

Wine Buff Wannabe – Margaret River Exposed

Get your spirits up at MONTI restaurant where you can mingle with fellow wine enthusiasts, as well as sample and learn more about 30 of Margaret River’s top-rated wines from the likes of Fraser Gallop Estate, McHenry Hohnen Vintners, Chapman Grove Wines and more. The social masterclass will also highlight the wonderful features of Margaret River and how its wines are influenced by the region’s terroir.

There will also be opportunities to chat with the friendly wine producers from Margaret River and have them share their latest updates on the wine region. Liquid Gold – An Icon Chardonnay Degustation

Tuesday is the new Friday at the recently refurbished Gunther’s Restaurant. There, Cape Lodge chef Tony Howell will prepare an impressive seven-course dinner that promises to highlight some of best of Western Australia produce. The wines, of course, will take centre stage too. Chardonnays is one of Margaret River’s flagship varietals and Howell will be pairing dishes with the food-friendly varietal from Flametree Wines, Vasse Felix, Xanadu Wines, Woodland Wines, Pierro Margaret River Vineyards and Cape Lodge. Indeed, Tuesdays have never tasted this good.

Enjoy a scenic drive in Margaret River

Seasons On The Hill

Now, if there’s one showcase event you shouldn’t miss, it’s Margaret River On Tour’s Seasons On The Hill. The scenic location – Tamarind Hill restaurant, which is housed in a colonial, heritage bungalow in Labrador Park – will immediately set you in the mood for some wines. Be sure to ready your glasses as you prepare to meet over 30 Margaret River operators who will take you through what the region has to offer. You’ll find a mix of established wineries, such as Vasse Felix, Moss Wood Wines, Cullen Wines (for biodynamic wine fans) alongside newer boutique names like Windows Estate and L.A.S Vino.

Seasons On The Hill also includes seasonal delights prepared by Western Australian chefs Evan Hayter and Tony Howell. Fine food producers like Margaret River Nougat Company and Rocky Ridge Brewing will also be there to present their specialties.

Evan Hayter of Arimia Estate

Pressed and Fermented at Salted and Hung 

Australian chef Drew Nocente, who runs a modern Australian restaurant specialising on cured meats in Singapore, will team up with chef Evan Hayter of Arimia Estate for a four-course menu with snacks. Expect the stars of Western Australian produce like ethically raised pork and trout, as well as Wagyu beef from Margaret River to feature on the menu.The dishes will be paired with some of the best wines from Arimia Estate, Cape Grace Wines and Woody Nook wines.
