Whisky Live Singapore 2025 Returns For Its 14th Edition with the World’s Oldest Scotch.
There are whisky festivals, and then there is Whisky Live Singapore, the annual showcase that has become the region’s defining celebration of fine spirits. Returning on 22 and 23 November, the festival brings with it an impressive line-up of spirits, masterclasses and rare bottles that promise to make this year’s edition one for the books.
Presented by La Maison du Whisky, the festival now enters its 14th year, continuing to blur the line between connoisseurship and curiosity—a place where seasoned collectors, bartenders and newcomers alike can taste, learn and trade stories. This year’s edition features more than 60 brands and over 300 whiskies, rums, gins and other fine spirits, including new-to-market expressions and Singapore-exclusive casks. Fittingly, it will be held at the École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) Singapore Campus, a venue that reflects Whisky Live’s ongoing commitment to craft, community and education.

Ahead of the main weekend, Cocktail Street sets the tone until 23 November, extending the festival’s energy into some of the city’s most beloved bars. Ten of the city’s bars, including 28 HongKong Street, Native and Offtrack, is each presenting a special Whisky Live-inspired cocktail starting from $10++. It is a relaxed, come-as-you-are introduction to whisky culture, complete with a complimentary drink for festival-goers on event day.
This year’s edition will also feature a rare moment in whisky history. Making its Singapore debut, Gordon & MacPhail’s 85 Years Old from Glenlivet takes the title as the world’s oldest Scotch ever bottled. Distilled in 1940 and aged for eight and a half decades, only 125 decanters exist. To mark the occasion, Whisky Live will host a raffle where one lucky guest will get to taste this extraordinary spirit through a 10ml collector’s vial worth S$2,785. Proof, perhaps, that patience truly has its rewards.

Japanese whisky lovers will also have reason to celebrate as Nikka marks the 40th anniversary of its iconic From The Barrel expression. The showcase features a Japanese-style Wishing Wall, where guests can pen aspirations on traditional ema plaques, and two new limited editions—Extra Marriage and The Assortment Set—that highlight the brand’s extraordinary craftsmanship. Guests will be able to sample From The Barrel and Extra Marriage side by side, an experience that traces four decades of evolution from one of Japan’s most beloved houses.

Across the Pacific, Blanton’s will debut its Singapore-exclusive Single Barrel alongside the Blanton’s Single Barrel Paris. Global Brand Ambassador Aaron Lawrence will be in town to host a VIP masterclass exploring the nuances of the world’s first single-barrel bourbon, offering collectors and fans alike a rare glimpse into the brand’s meticulous process and enduring heritage.

The Asian whisky scene is also taking centre stage this year. Korea’s Ki One, which made headlines for winning the Worldwide Whisky Trophy at the International Wine & Spirit Competition for its Unicorn single malt, will unveil its new Core Range and preview upcoming 2026 releases. From Japan, cult favourite Chichibu Distillery returns with the Asia-Pacific debut of Chichibu II and Chichibu 10 Years Old in Singapore, alongside a Singapore-exclusive Ichiro’s Malt & Grain Single Cask. VIP guests will also be the first in Asia-Pacific to taste Chichibu Paris 2025 and Chichibu Singapore 2025, with Brand Ambassador Yumi Yoshikawa hosting a VIP-only masterclass.

For those eager to deepen their knowledge, Whisky Live’s masterclass programme will be a highlight. Among them, Nikka’s 40th Anniversary Masterclass offers a rare exploration of From The Barrel, deconstructing its core parcels and tasting anniversary components in their unblended, pre-marriage state, drawn directly from the Tochigi Aging Cellar. The “Blend Your Own Kavalan LÁN” session, led by Brand Ambassador David Chen, will also offer guests a hands-on chance to experiment with Taiwan’s newest expression, blending components from select Solist casks to craft a personalised miniature bottle to take home.
For rum aficionados, Hampden Estate promises a spirited detour with The Fragrance of Trelawny, a masterclass led by Christopher Bellail of La Maison & Velier. The session will delve into Hampden’s 270-year-old legacy of long, wild fermentations and tropical ageing, culminating in the Asia-Pacific debut of the Hampden 15 Years Old—and, in true Hampden fashion, a surprise pour known only as “The Fragrance of Trelawny.”

Collectors will no doubt make their way to La Boutique, the festival’s dedicated fine-spirits pop-up. This year’s edition will offer early access to Asia-Pacific allocations, exclusive bottlings, and the regional debut of La Maison du Whisky’s Creations Catalogue 2025—a must-visit for anyone serious about their home bar.
Tickets start from $100 for the Connoisseur Pass, which includes unlimited tastings, access to complimentary masterclasses, an exclusive Whisky Live goodie bag, and a minimum of 10% off bottles at La Boutique. For those seeking a more exclusive experience, the VIP Pass (from S$220 for one day or S$388 for two) grants access to the VIP-only zone, early entry to La Boutique, and exclusive pours including Chichibu Single Cask, Blanton’s Exclusive Barrels, Magnum #3 Rums by Velier, and the Artist Range by LMDW.
With its rarefied pours, new discoveries, and a spirit of inclusivity that extends beyond connoisseurs, Whisky Live Singapore 2025 proves once again why it remains the benchmark for whisky appreciation in Asia—a meeting of heritage and innovation, culture and craftsmanship, all distilled into one extraordinary weekend.
