Bali’s celebrated beachfront dining destination, SKAI Bar & Grill, unveils a refined new chapter with the expansion of its indoor grill sanctuary at Padma Resort Legian. Drawing from the venue’s signature Mediterranean inspiration, the intimate 34-seat extension brings the elemental warmth of open-fire cuisine into a sophisticated, garden-framed setting, offering guests a seamless continuation of SKAI’s celebrated coastal experience.

Positioned just steps from the original beachside terrace, the new SKAI Bar & Grill indoor expansion blends architectural elegance with a lush tropical sensibility. Floor-to-ceiling windows invite soft daylight into the dining room, while sculpted screens cast intricate shadows reminiscent of dappled sunlight through tree canopies. A natural palette of driftwood grey and sandy taupe grounds the interiors, echoing the textures of Bali’s shores.
Here, Eastern Mediterranean flavours take centre stage. Signature cuts such as Angus Tenderloin, Grass-Fed MB3+, and Pork Chop Pata Negra Ibérico are flame-grilled over artisan charcoal in a new open-kitchen pavilion reimagined as culinary theatre. Each dish is enlivened with house-made marinades and spice blends, from citrusy sumac to smoked paprika and za’atar. For added complexity, diners are invited to personalise their plates with a curated salt collection, ranging from wood-smoked sea salt to herbaceous and citrus infusions.

The indoor grill area also features a dry-ageing chamber, its display of prime cuts artfully arranged on rustic maple boards, underscoring SKAI’s commitment to technique and terroir. Complementing the experience is SKAI’s now-iconic house sourdough: thick-crusted, beautifully blistered, and served warm to accompany every course.
“Since opening our beach‑front SKAI Bar & Grill, guests have fallen in love with the blend of ocean breezes, sunset views, and our fire‑driven cuisine,” said Kristanti Tannady, General Manager of Padma Resort Legian. “With this extension, we’re honouring that spirit while creating a new stage for grill artistry, just steps away from the waves.”

Whether dining under the stars or ensconced in the cool elegance of SKAI’s new indoor lounge, guests can expect a flavour-forward journey that is as sensory as it is soulful. The expansion signals a refined evolution for one of Bali’s most iconic seaside addresses, where the primal beauty of fire and the delicate charm of Mediterranean cuisine meet in perfect balance.
