The legendary Kempi Deli of Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta has reopened its doors, offering a fresh take on its beloved concept with a larger, more refined space. Now occupying an expanded 116 square metres in its original location at Grand Indonesia’s East Mall level 2, the deli reintroduces itself with a warm and modern interior designed by Studio Breu.

Reflecting a minimal yet inviting atmosphere, the updated space features a palette of white oak, brass detailing, terrazzo countertops, antique mirrors, and curated Indonesian pottery. Kempi Deli returns with seating options that are varied—ranging from sofas and stools to communal tables—designed to accommodate quick coffee stops, casual work sessions, and post-shopping catchups.
The menu retains the favourites that have long defined Kempi Deli’s identity, including the classic Kempinski Sourdough and freshly baked pastries like Twist Berries, Pretzel Croissant, and a selection of doughnuts with indulgent fillings such as peanut butter and Valrhona Dulce pistachio. New dessert options, like the Hazelnut Cake and Gorgonzola Cheese Tart, add richness to the offering.

Beyond baked goods, the deli serves hearty dishes for more substantial dining. Highlights include the Seafood Sambal Matah Aglio Olio, Wagyu Ragout Pappardelle, and Truffle Carbonara, alongside breakfast staples like K-Benedict and a Chia Seed Bowl. Drinks cover the spectrum from matcha and artisanal teas to quality brewed coffee.
With its thoughtful combination of design, flavour, and function, Kempi Deli returns to bring back a Jakarta favourite in a way that feels both familiar and refreshingly new.
