This October, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali continues its culinary storytelling with the next chapter of its celebrated Travelogues of the Archipelago series – this time venturing into the untamed beauty and bold flavours of East Nusa Tenggara. From 25 to 27 October 2025, the resort’s beachfront Ikan Restaurant transforms into a stage for a three-day dining experience that celebrates Indonesia’s eastern isles in exquisite detail.

At the helm are Chef Raviel Sidik, the creative force behind Ikan, and Chef Lucky Lukman of Dailah Sajian Kontemporer, whose collaborative menu captures the essence of the region’s culinary identity – simple yet soulful, rustic yet refined. Expect to taste stories shaped by wind and sea: earthy spices, native ingredients, and age-old techniques elevated through contemporary presentation.

More than a dinner, this edition of Travelogues of the Archipelago is an immersion into place and purpose. The evening unfolds as a narrative of connection – between land and ocean, past and present, chef and community. “At Ikan, we strive to celebrate Indonesia’s diverse culinary heritage in a way that feels authentic yet elevated,” shares Director of Food & Beverage Dane Fernandes. “Through Travelogues of the Archipelago, we’re not just sharing flavours, but connecting our guests to the stories, people, and places that make each region so extraordinary.”

In keeping with The Westin’s commitment to wellness and social impact, a portion of proceeds will go towards Yayasan English Goes to Kampung’s Sumba Culinary Programme, represented by food vlogger Magdalena, supporting culinary education initiatives that empower local communities.
As the sun melts into the Indian Ocean, the Ikan terrace becomes an open-air theatre of taste – where regional stories come alive through artistry and intention. It’s a celebration not just of food, but of the enduring ties that connect Indonesia’s islands and its people.
