French food aficionados better head to Canggu for something délicieux is cooking at the French-inspired restaurant and bar, Lulu Bistrot. Freshly opened last year, the bistro returns with an exciting Kitchen Counter Menu programme featuring delightful French cuisine prepared using quality local and seasonal produce by the adept hands of local talents.

Boasting the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere that Paris’ grand café is renowned for, the bistro is an apt place for friendly get-togethers and classy affairs. The interior derives its inspiration from New York’s brasserie scene combined with contemporary French elegance, featuring warm light, generous setting, an open kitchen, and chic décor, which result in a graceful yet spirited space for guests to fully immerse in the intended Parisian ambience.

The founder, Rafael Nardo, promises to present an exceptional culinary journey, paired with exquisite beverages, that welcomes guests in private or lively settings. The Kitchen Counter Menu offering is one of many ways guests can embrace the bistro’s well-curated culinary experience.

Savour the allure of French-inspired culinary delights

Priced at Rp850,000/person, enjoy a series of tasting menus comprising Potato Croquette with Rosette de Lyon, Fish Crudo Tartlet, Fried Grouper Cheek with Remoulade, Heirloom Tomato with Cervelle de Canut, Bluefin Tuna with spicy homemade Merguez, Onion Tarte Tatin, Roasted Alfonsino, Roasted Beef Wagyu with Perigord sauce, and ended with the sweet Tropical Fruit Sorbet, Chocolate Cake with Brandy Diplomat, and Fromage Blanc Ice Cream with apple cider reduction.

Find inventive classic cocktails expertly infused with distinct French-inspired ingredients

Expect a melodious blend of French flavours with local ingredients, crafted by local talents, with Ryan Thejasukmana spearheading as the head of culinary. Returning to Bali after honing his skills in Sydney, chef Thejasukmana promises to dish out quality produce and inspire Indonesian chefs with his expertise. Besides the culinary excellence, diners can taste the bistro’s inventive cocktails that highlight unique touches like Creole spices and Moroccan mint under a relaxed and elegant Parisian café atmosphere. Open daily from 5pm until late.

The Kitchen Counter Menu at Lulu Bistrot is available to book one day in advance to ensure the freshness of the produce used in the cooking. The menu is subject to changes based on available seasonal fish and vegetables from the locals.
