Cassava Chips with Garlic and Chili

Serves 10

Prep time 35 minutes

Cooking time 5 minutes

500g cassava, skin removed
2 tbsp garlic purée
1 tsp chopped chilli
salt, to taste

• Steam the cassava for half an hour, and slice them into thin wedges.
• Toss the wedges in garlic purée and chopped chilli. Then fry them till golden brown in a hot oil of 160°C. Add salt to taste.
