The Fullerton Bay Hotel’s Lantern is one of Singapore’s most stylish and romantic rooftop bars, with a shimmering swimming pool and enthralling panoramic views of the waterfront, Marina Bay Sands, and the mesmerizing Singapore skyline. Come by for sunset cocktails and stick around for front-row seats to the nightly laser and lighting show that plays out of Marina Bay Sands. If there’s only time for one drink, make it the Imperial Berry Mojito ($28), the bar’s signature cocktail made with Blanco Rum, fresh blackberries, mint and Champagne Brut. CÉ LA VI
CÉ LA VI Club Lounge accompanies the CÉ LA VI Restaurant and SkyBar at the top of the iconic Marina Bay Sands Hotel towers. Make yourself comfortable on any of the sofa seats along the deck to take in the view of the city or of the Straits of Singapore. If you’d rather stay indoors, splurge on the VIP corner where you’ll be right beside the DJ console and have an overview of the entire Club Lounge. Right in the heart of the CBD is where you’ll find the world’s highest alfresco bar - 1-Altitude Gallery Bar is practically vertigo-inducing. Its location at the top of the tallest building in Raffles Place affords such unparalleled and unblocked views of Marina Bay and the sea, the Singapore river, and the glassy skyscrapers of the business district - it’s definitely hard to pick just one spot for the evening. Time your visit for 15 minutes before sunset, grab a refreshing Monster Mojito ($18) from the bar, then walk around the entire place as you watch the city transform, glowing from the warm rays of sunset to shimmering with bright lights as night emerges. Right on top of The Club's rooftop is a breezy Peruvian restaurant and cocktail bar, located in the happening Ann Siang neighbourhood. Here, you’ll find an extensive selection of pisco and infused piscos for their range of cocktails. Go for the signature Pisco Sour ($18) or try the Peruvian’s Cup ($20), the bar’s pisco twist on the classic Pimm’s cup. Tiger’s Milk, or “Leche de Tigre”, is the Peruvian term for the citrus-based marinade that cures the seafood in a ceviche, and the Tiger’s Milk Trio of ceviches ($29) is a great appetising starter. The Wagyu Rib Fingers ($16) and Lamb Hearts ($10) in harissa marinade are popular bar snacks but for a little something off the menu, ask for the grilled Peruvian corn (complimentary). One of the earliest rooftop bar venues to spring up on the island, Loof’s longevity is a testament to its delicious and carefully crafted Southeast Asian inspired cocktails as well as addictive bar snacks that have a creative local twists. To beat the heat, ask for the Singapore Sour ($17), the bar’s interpretation of the local favourite lime juice from the coffee shop but with a kick, and fuel up on bar snacks like Ramly Burger ($18), Chilli Crab Cheese Fries ($14) and Babi-que Sliders ($16). 331 North Bridge Road, Odeon Towers.
